I have used jumpline in the past for a total of 3 years. it was ok to me in the beginning but then I began noticing that every once in a while I had trouble getting to my sites, control panels or even the jumpline website. I wrote it off as my Internet, crappy DSL at the time, messing up. But after a few months I realized that something was wrong.
I then started monitoring my traffic and such and sure enough, there was a big problem. I was offline a lot. I cotnacted Jumpline many times to get the issue resolved and they always appologized for a minor nework issue. However, 20 minutes here and 1 hour there and every other day, was much more than a minor issue. According to my logs, my sites were up the entire time but their network was down so nobody could access my sites.
I soon began logging my issues and downtimes to take advantage of their uptime gurantee, not sure if they still have this, and their uptime came out to be 99.95% for me. This is unacceptable under any conditions. So, they refused to give me a credit or to resolve the issue, so I told them to shove their servers where the sun don’t shine.
I will never recommend Jumpline.Com to anyone. They may have an OK staff, but their network sucks. What good is a server that stays online all the time, if the connection it has to the web, does not work?
