We have been using HostGator for our business for over 5 years now and really like their service. In the past 5 years I cannot remember having any major issues with them.
We have about 5 sites for our business and use our HostGator account to conveniently host all of them. Customer service is very dependable and reliable.
As long as HostGator is in business I will not be hosting our business sites anywhere else.

I’m from mexico and I have a business web design.
I’ve been with hostgator for a year and a half and I must say that I have found an excellent service, I started with the business plan for a single site and then three months after we hired a baby plan to accommodate other 5 sites, after 8 months and seeing that the service was very
good with little or no server crashes, good customer service and support, plus excellent to work with CMS like Wordpress and Joomla, we decided to hire the copper Resseler plan to give more independence to our websites that are currently 15.
Apart from the technical support tutorials are very good to guide you hosting and management greatly reduce the need to enlist the help of hostgator staff to be able to solve problems by yourself.
In the currently Reseller plan we have two dedicated IP for
sites that required it for $ 2 USD per month each, an acceptable price and common in the market hostings.
I must emphasize that this year and a half with hostgator never have any problems with any of our websites and they all work perfectly.

After some horrible experiences with other hosting companies, I decided to try the much talked about Hostgator….And I have never looked back.
A few words to describe how I feel about Hostgator first before I get to my review… WOW, AMAZING, EASY, INCREDIBLE, FAST, CHEAP
With those words, you know how my review is going to read…LOL
Here we go….
When you first get to the Hostgator site, they give you a choice of different hosting packages you will want, with the prices and comparison of them. If you are new to hosting and plan on using them, I would suggest the “Baby” croc plan. At $9.95 a month ($7.95 a month if you buy for a year) this is the best deal, as you can add an unlimited amount of domains to it any time you like for no extra charge.
Now that you have your domain pointed to Hostgator, you are ready to go….
The first thing you do is open the Hostgator cPanel and are confronted with a page of options…. It looks confusing, but it is not. You have already probably decided what kind of website you want, so unless you are a programmer, HTML expert, or PHP guru, look down the page for a smily face that says Fantastico Deluxe. Click it….
OMG…look at all the types of themes you can use…And they are ALL self installing. Want a blog? Install WordPress automatically. An image site? Try Coppermine or 4images…Once again, installed automatically for you….How about a fun poll site? Check out Advanced Poll or LimeSurvey….Got the idea? You can set up any kind of website you want without having to worry about HOW to set it up. It’s all done at the click of a button!!!
Now on to some of the other amazing features that Hostgator offers…And there are a lot.
Here are some of the ones that I use a lot…..
Stats, Stats, and more Stats…
If you love stats, you will love the “logs” section on the cPanal. Each of the choices gives you the power to see how your website is doing on all levels, from bandwidth and visitors, to IP’s of visitors and how long they were on your site and what pages they looked at. TONS of information here.
“But how do I add another domain?” (or 2 or 5)
Just go to the “domains” section on cPanal and click “addondomains” enter your domain name and the rest is done for you. (don”t forget to change your nameservers to point at Hostgator!!)
Subdomain you ask? just click on “Subdomains” fill in the info…BOOM–DONE–EASY
I am not going to get into every section that cPanel has to offer, but I would suggest you “click around” on the options and see for yourself just how powerful and simple it is to use.
However great Hostgator and its cPanel is, you are going to find that you don’t actually spend a lot of time there. Most of your time will be spent getting your content onto your webpage. Hostgator makes it so simple that you don’t have to worry about what is going on behind the scenes, they make it so all you have to worry about is your site.
To finalize, Hostgator is simply the best and easiest hosting company to deal with. It is simple enough for new users to handle and has enough advanced features for the seasoned pro to use. There are many, many hosting companies out there, but none can truly compare to the simplicity, ease of use, and amount of features that Hostgator has to offer.
PS I thought I should add a couple of quick notes….
1- I have been using them for over 15 months for several domains and I have never had any downtime.
2- I called support a couple of times in the beginning, and the service was fast and easy to understand.
3- I gave only 4 stars for “price” only due to the fact that there are a lot of cheaper hosting companies out there, but you get what you pay for. $9.95 a month for all the features, support, and reliability is well worth the price.

I have been using Host Gator for years. I have never had a problem with them. They are inexpensive and I am pretty sure they are one of the cheapest for the amount of bandwidth you get. The load time is very fast except for one of my sites that have a lot of pics. I cant remember the last time they had any down time. Their support forum is very active and has a lot useful information. Also in cpanel the easy to install scripts are great. I definitely recommend them.

Iv been using hostgator for quite a few years now, I stumbled upon it after looking for a good hoster that had php4+ to run my Vbulletin forums off, after my newbie attempt at getting a hoster first time around lead me to justhost I was trapped in a contract with them for 1 yr hostgator provided the perfect solution with month to month payments at a low cost.
Up until this day I have never considered using any other host even if they are cheaper,the customer support from hostgator is unique compared to company’s who have very limited customer support and never seem to reply to anything you send them.
Recently in December I bought a new forums with a 160mb mysql database which would of been a real trouble for me my self to restore however I uploaded it to my root dir and contacted hostgator support via email and they did it for me within a few hours, that’s a real example of how much I am in debt to them as a user of there hosting.
I have also only had 30 mins of noticeable downtime in the past 3 years or something so if your looking for a reliable hoster then I would defiantly recommend hostgator.

Been using Hostgator for a few years now. For as low as $8.95 per month you can host unlimited websites and have unlimited bandwidth.
But it can only get better! Within Fantastico you can have a broad range of professionally designed templates to use on your sites for free! Also the fact that you can install stuff like WordPress, Coppermine etc to the click of a button really makes things very simple especially for newbies!
Last but not least, the excellent customer care with a smile available to you 24/7! If you ever come across to any issues or if you just got stuck, use the chat option to talk to a technician and within minutes your problem will be resolved!
To make a long story short, Hostgator is highly recommended because of their professionalism and their advanced services.

Though they are a bit pricey, IMO, I am glad I moved to Hostgator VPS and dedicated servers. I have not had one instance of downtime, aside from a few things I did, and their staff is full of bass-a** mammojammas that really know their stuff. If I get on support chat or put in a ticket, they take care of me NOW and not next week. In fact, I am soon getting another dedicated server to cluster with another. Hostgator has my back for real.
